At home treatments?? - April 9th 2009, 02:29 AM

Ok-im very prone to getting infected cuts and things like that, even if taken care of. But the other day [[i break out really bad on my chest]] i popped a bump that was on my chest and since i was half asleep i fell jumped in the shower right away, and ick it got infected. Its not staph or mrsa-ive been treated for both of those before and i know what those infections look like. What I want to know, is if anyone has any good at-home remedies for infections. I've tried something my friend suggested, which was lemon juice, supposedly the acid eats out the infection, im not sure how its gonna work, but i dont like taking antibiotics because of the other infection that has to be treated after that i hate it...can anyone help??

salt water! you can either make it at home with boiling water and table salt mixed then cooled down a bit, or you can get this 'saline solution' stuff from the drug store.

PM me any time, ok? I'm always here to help.

I completely agree with Tea Tree oil, it is absolutely amazing stuff (though it can sting a bit)!

I've also used salt water and it does work, but I don't think it works as well as tea tree oil
