Headaches and agitation - December 18th 2012, 11:03 PM

Two things.

For quite a number of weeks I've been getting really bad headaches every day. I woke up at 6am this morning having a bad nose bleed and I couldn't move my head because of the pain and because I has a weird feeling in my head and it made everything a bit woozy. I've been bringing uo blood today too, but I think that might just be from the nose bleed. They are becoming exhausting. I don't know whether its because of stress or something else but I'm trying trying to stay away from ibuprofen because my asthma has been bad and it triggers it but I can't take paracetamol (I think that's more psychological). I see my doctor weeky and I'm unsure of whether to bring it up with him. I try lots of home remedies but they're getting severe and I don't know what to do about it.

Secondly, I'm getting bad agitation in my legs. It's more manageable in the day but it stops me from sleeping and some nights I wake up because of it and I end up sat in the edge of my bed shaking my legs or pacing my room for half an hour because I just can't keep my legs still. Some times it gets phsycaally painful too like my muscles are starting to spasm. I think it might be triggered by anxiety and hallucinations but I get bad nightmares too and I don't know how to stop it or cope with it.

So any help with these would be appreciated. Thankksss.

As you know, we can only offer suggestions not a diagnosis, but this has me stumped, you could look it up on the internet, but the blood nose and headaches may indicate pressure in your brain, you will have to bring it up to your doctor, this may be incredibly serious and may escalate. Don't make assumptions, it may turn out to be caused by stress, as are a lot of dagnosis based upon that stupid thing, when you see your doctor next, or schedule an emergency appointment, it is important that you do see him/her about it!

Jay.

My doctor put me on two medications including Dihydrocodeine for the pain I'm in with my headaches. He did several tests. He told me if it gets worse, if I have another bad nose bleed, I start being sick or if I pass out, I have to go straight to A&E, if it just continues and the tablets don't help, to go back within a week or if the tablets help but they come back after I finish them which isn't far off, to go back and he'll look into putting me on medication for migraines.

It hasn't gotten worse. The tablets have helped a bit, but I'm still getting them and at times they are incredibly painful that I just can't move. Unsure about what to do or whether to go back

Thanks for your reply Jay. <3
