Unhappy Crying in agony.... Please help urgently!!! - April 25th 2013, 07:07 AM

Hi! I realise that this is not a medical forum but I've tried everywhere I can think of. For the last three and a but weeks I've been getting tummy pains. It started off as an ache but over the past seven days it's developed into a constant ache and severe stabbing like pains too. It keeps me awake throughout the night but it seems to ease off for a few hours in the middle of the day. I've been to me Gp who did bloods, temp, bp ect but he says there's nothing wrong with me. It's got so bad over the last 48 hours that I had to stop while walking home from college and sit down of the ground in the street. I was shaking and sweating and crying out in pain so much that a lady called an ambulance for me. I've now had some scans done at the hospital but again they're saying I'm ok. They've referred me for more tests but my appointment isn't until June 27th. I've tried everything I can think of.... Pain killers, herbal teas, ice pack, heat pack, laying on my front, laying on my back, cutting out foods (dairy & wheat), exercising, wearing loose fitting clothes.... I've even had my boyfriend gently massaging my tummy for me which was the only thing that seems to help but as soon as he stops the pain is so bad that I'm physically screaming!! I'm constantly tearful and getting to breaking point (and so is my boyfriend. He's not he a decent nights sleep in over a week because I'm keeping him awake rolling around crying in agony or he's holding me and rubbing my tummy.... It's not fair on either of us). My college work is suffering, I keep getting sent home from my part time job and I'm just about at the limit of what I can take. I'm really sorry to have come on here and rambled on but I'm trying to get across how desperate I am, I have never know pain like this!!!! If anybody has ever heard or experienced anything like this please let me know. Or if there are any other suggestions to how I can control the pain while I wait for tests!?!
Again, sorry for rambling and thank you in advance for any advice you might be able to give me!

I would definitely go to a different hospital/doctor if you can... If you're in this much pain, then something is really wrong, and the hospital you went to obviously didn't look hard enough for it.

Sorry I couldn't be there, I was tied to a rocking chair.

First of all never apologise on here if you have a something that's worrying you. Secondly, Katie ^^ is definitely correct. This sounds something far more than an ordinary stomach ache. It could be a number of things to be honest. I would seriously advise taking yourself to a walk in centre (assuming you have one - I can't tell where you live of course) and ask to be examined properly. And don't Google it. That will only tell you 10,000 things that it might be. A proper examination is needed in my opinion.

It's cold comfort
To the ones without it
To know how they struggled
How they suffered about it
If their lives were exotic and strange
They would likely have gladly exchanged them
For something a little more plain
Maybe something a little more sane
