I'M I HAVING AN ALLERGIC REACTION?! - April 26th 2013, 10:13 PM

I put some hair remover cream on my face(it was for the face) and now my face feels like it's tightening up and it's burning and it hurts!!! Should i go to the emergency room? I think I'm having an allergic reaction to the cream. Please reply!

If you're not having a serious reaction I wouldn't go to the emergency room, if you're having trouble breathing or feel like your throat is swelling then yes, go. Otherwise there isn't really anything they could do for you.
Allergies are common (I'm allergic to peanuts, red food colouring, perfume, and aspartame for example) you'll just have to avoid products that illicit reactions from now on.

Read the bottle / box the cream in, and look if it has directions for an allergic reaction, if it doesn't; Keep rinsing your face off with luke warm water for 10-15 min, then wash it with a dab of dawn soap if you have it or any regular hand / dish soap. (No additives like sea salt.) and I recommend not using the cream anymore.

If like stated above, you start to have any trouble breathing or eye sight goes fuzzy. Then yes, you should go to the Emergency Room.

Those creams are pretty harsh, so I doubt you're having an allergic reaction. I mean, it's chemicals which dissolve the hair, so it's likely going to irritate your skin. I've heard it burns before, it's totally normal. If you're having trouble breathing or are breaking out in hives, then that is when you wan to go to the hospital.

And here you are living, despite it all.

I would try to take something like benedryl as well. It helps.
