How long will it hurt for? - July 9th 2013, 02:34 AM

I feel off my bike today, as I was going on curve, my bike tipped over.

I fell on one of my knees, I got scrapes on my hand(the skin is peeling ),& Between thumb,on my cheek,& lip.

I put peroxide,& neosporin on it,& bandages.

Is there anything I can buy to make heal quickly?

How long it will hurt for really depends on how bad the scrapes are. When I fell off my bike about a year ago, I scraped up my knee and hands. My hands hurt for about a week, and my knee for 3-4 weeks (but that's because it got really badly infected and I was being pretty active). At this point, all you can do is keep cleaning it out and bandaging them. (Although once they're completely scabbed over, it's better to leave them open to the air to heal.) Also, try to avoid doing anything that pulls/rubs on the scabs, because if they come open, it takes longer to heal.

Vassalene or petroleum jelly helps to heal cuts and grazes, I use it whenever I get one :3

I always find sudocrem useful.

There are loads and loads of nerves on the surface of your skin so actually shallow wounds like this hurt way more. :/

You're young though so it shouldn't take too long.
Good luck
