Angry ulcer..? - August 15th 2013, 09:37 PM

I've got a ulcer on my tongue and its...pretty damn big.

I've had it for about a week and it doesn't seem to be going? It's really painful and bleeds every now and then.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

If your worried about it and it continues bleeding I would suggest that you seek medical advice from a gp or doctor asap. Try not to bite your tongue as it will make it worse.

I'm here if anyone wants to talk, I'm always here. Feel free to VM or PM me

Gargle warm salt water (made with sea salt.. make sure it's no saltier than your tears would be, though.. otherwise it'll dry your mouth out.) or hydrogen peroxide. (don't swallow either.) Those can help keep it at bay and from getting any larger.. & can help draw out any possible infection/dry up the bleeding. And any nsaid painkiller (ibuprofen, advil, aleve, etc..) can help with inflamation and well, pain.. if it hasn't gone away in two weeks or so, definitely see a doctor, as they can help and maybe prescribe something to take/put on it.

Feel free to PM/VM me if you ever need someone to talk to, or just want someone to listen. I'm also always up for making new friends.
