Exclamation Extreme tired and lethargic - August 16th 2013, 01:42 PM

Hey everyone,

For the last few months I have been getting extremely tired and lethargic. It has got to the point where I am finding it extremely hard to walk up a flight of stairs without getting breathless - I am not overweight or underweight.

For the last two weeks I have been on a summer camp and where we have been staying have stairs and lifts. I have been so out of breath just climbing up stairs that I have had to use the lifts even though no one else is allowed to use the lifts.

Love from MEERA xx

Feeling extremely tired. All I want to do is sleep. I don't even want to have food. I just don't have the energy to walk up and down the stairs.

Hey Meera,

Since we can't diagnose you on here I would suggest going to the doctors and telling them about this since feeling tired all the time is a symptom of a quite a few illnesses so even if some of us were doctors we'd still find it hard to diagnose you on here without running some tests.

All that said, is tiredness the only symptom you have? And can you remember if anything caused this tiredness or if it just came out of nowhere? Also, I see that you have depression which can often be linked to feeling tired and run down. Perhaps you can speak to your doctor about that as your medication might need adjusting if it's not working effectively enough.

I agree that going to your doctor would be the best bet. Feeling tired could be an indicator of so many things that it would be impossible to even guess what could possibly be wrong. How long have you been feeling like this for? Is there any other symptoms? I would make a list of all your symptoms, how long you've had each one for and bring it with you to a doctor's appointment.
