penis pain - October 18th 2013, 03:07 PM

Ok, so I'd like to preface this by saying I am absolutely certain that I am a virgin (I've never had any form of sex) and that my parents and grandparents don't have any STDs. Also, as far as I know, nobody in my family has prostate cancer.

I woke up today with a lot of pain in my penis, particularly at the head, near the tip. I went to the bathroom and found a small bump with dark black lines around it. I deduced that this was the source of the pain. It is very painful to touch.
I get paranoid about a lot of things so of course I'm worried about it being an STD or cancerous, but like I said, that doesn't seem possible. I googled several descriptors hoping to find someone with something similar. I didn't. I didn't find anything that sounded exactly like what I have and almost all of the people with the problems said that they've had rough sex, which again, I know I haven't.

Maybe I bumped it or scratched it in my sleep, I don't wear underwear when I'm sleeping so it's very possible, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

I think you should go to a doctor, nobody here is an expert and even if one of us was there's no way for us to be able to help you over the internet with something like this. Pain is a good indication that you should see a professional, especially when you don't know what caused it to happen.
Don't worry about being embarrassed to show the doctor, trust me they've seen it all before and they're very professional.

Yeah seriously, go to the doctor. I know there is a type of spider bite that reacts very similarly to that with the pain and dark lines which can kill you. Regardless of whether it is that or not dark lines are never a good sign, usually it symbolizes some sort of serious infection.

I noticed today that the lines were not lines, but were in fact legs and were moving. It was a tick. I went to the doctor and got it removed. I've learned my lesson

Glad you got it all sorted! Good thing to see a doctor when you're in doubt, for future reference.

Feel free to email/PM/VM/whatever me if you want. I'll answer as soon as I can.

that definitely sounds unpleasant. I'm glad to hear you got to a doctor and got it taken care of. did the doctor put you on precautionary antibiotics by chance? ticks can carry lyme disease.
