Really bad pain - October 26th 2013, 06:51 AM

Okay, so on wednesday night, I took a bad fall at work and landed with my full weight on my right leg and left shoulder. The bruising is pretty significant on both of my legs and on my left arm and I'm finding it difficult/extremely painful to climb stairs and lift anything to shoulder height. I did see a doctor and they told me nothing appeared to be broken, but they did say if i was still in pain in a few days to return to them. I'm just wondering, am I being a whiner, or could the pain be linked to a problem the xrays couldn't detect like a hairline fracture or something?
Should I go back to the hospital or just suck it up?

Hi there, if its really hurting you and preventing you from doing things you would normally do such as lifting things and walking without pain, then I would go to the hospital to get it checked out. When did you go the doctor? Hope it hurts less, take care.

If it's been a few days and it's still hurting, I'd go back to the doctor like how they suggested to do. You're not being a whiner, don't worry. Take care, hope it goes okay.

I think it would be okay if you went back to the doctor. They DID say to come back, and if it's been a few days and it's hurting that bad, it's really worth getting checked out. It's not being a whiner, you should get it checked.

I agree with everyone else, if it's been a few days and it's still hurting and preventing you from doing certain things then I would do what the doctor suggested and return to them. You're not whining, you need to take care of yourself and pain is your body's way of saying "Hey, something's not right here...", listen to your body.
