Stomach Pains - December 3rd 2013, 04:46 PM

Hi guys,

First of all I know the drill, you're not doctors can't diagnose me etc. etc. and I will be mentioning this to my doctor next time I go and get my prescription if it's still a problem. Just wanted some thoughts on it.

Everytime I eat my evening meal now my stomach hurts for the rest of the night. It doesn't matter how big or small the portion is or what food it is. This has been happening for about a week now.

I've tried to make a food diary to see if I'm intolerant to something and that's causing it but there seems to be no relation.

The only thing I can identify as different in my evening meals are that they're hot meals whereas in the day I eat cold stuff like sandwiches and wraps. I don't really understand why hot food would be making my stomach hurt though, it's not like it's boiling when I'm eating it or anything.

Any ideas?

Hey Cara,

I'm not absolutely sure if what I'm saying is 100% true, but based on my experiences, I think it is the cold food that may be causing the stomach pains. First of all, do you occasionally skip meals like breakfast or lunch? If so, usually meal-skipping and eating meals after a long time gap during the day can cause stomach pains.

Do you eat any snacks between each meal for instance between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner? Eating a snack might be helpful too, or this might be some kind of stomach flu or virus. Well, I think those are possible causes and hope this helps!
