Question Blocked Eustachian Tubes - January 2nd 2014, 03:30 AM

So I was wondering if anyone knew of any home remedies for a blocked Eustachian tube. I went to the doctors a month ago and he said the tube behind my eardrum was blocked in both ears. He prescribed a nasal spray and an antihistamine. Its cut down my ear pain but it is still not gone. I know I should technically go back and I understand that is what you all will suggest but money plays a factor also. Does anyone know of any home remedies for this? I find a lot of remedies for wax blockages, but the doctor said it definitely was not a wax blockage. Pretty much all I found online was that my ears could be like this for years with no solutions that work well, even with seeing specialists.

Thank you to those of you who respond and have an idea of how to help.

Re: Blocked Eustachian Tubes - January 3rd 2014, 03:28 AM

Sometimes there are free clinics but usually those are first come first see and people line up hours before if you cannot afford to come back. I'm only familiar with the northwest part of the state.

I would be careful with home remedies though. Some of them can make the problems worse and cause an infection if you do not have one already.
