Unhappy very swollen and sore breasts - January 13th 2009, 04:55 PM

for the past few days my breasts have been sore and swollen. Could it be because I've had a cold? I don't think I'm pregnant (I haven't had sex, just fooled around with most of our clothes on) I feel like i have water balloons in my breasts. My period isn't due for 2 more weeks. Is it possible that I'm getting very early PMS symptoms? Normally my breasts aren't sore until like 3 days before.

Hm I don't believe I will be very helpful but from what I do know, swelling can be caused by a number of things such as Puberty, Some pills, Arousal, could be a breast abscess as well as some other things I believe, and the most common culprit probably hormones.

I'd see your doctor to be sure.

it could be due to higher estrogen levels because you're ovulating? just a thought xx

Some people may get signs of pms beginning 2 week before their periods, which may be what you are experiencing, however anything dealing with breast tenderness and swelling that persists should be checked by a doctor because it could be a number of things, including hormonal imbalances.
