Height problems - June 9th 2016, 02:41 AM

I'm 13 and already 5'5. When I was 12 I broke my ankle, and I got x-rays. The doctors said I still had a lot of space between my bones, and I could be almost 6'5. My parents are about 6'0, my grandparents on my dad's side are short, and on my mom's side they're tall. I really don't want to be this tall. Is there anything I can do?

Hey there and welcome

Unfortunately, height is one of the things that we can't do anything about; and as someone who is 4'9" at 28 I feel your pain for the opposite reason.

Unfortunately there's nothing much you can do. It's one of those things that is controlled by our genetics. My doctor told me that I'd be around 5'9" and I'm only 5'2". It's possible you won't be as tall as your doctor said, but it's also possible that you will. There's nothing wrong with being tall though. You're fine no matter your height.
