leg pain? - November 4th 2016, 12:24 AM

Every once in a while, I get the worst pain in my legs that usually lasts like a week or so. Can be all over my legs but usually to the side of the knee or in the lower legs. It gets a lot worse when i lay down , and gets better when i rest my legs on an incline. It really sucks when it happens as it makes sleeping hard and the pain can really be bad sometimes. I think it may be caused by sitting to long or laying in bed studying? As it usually starts when I have to study for a long time or start sleeping in a smaller claustrophobic bed.

It probably happens like once a year or so-and lasts several days. What is this called?

Honestly, I think it might be wise to go visit a doctor. Sometimes leg pain can be linked to heart problems. Or it can be something minor. Or a number of things really. I wouldn't get yourself too worked up though, but I think it might be best to get a medical opinion. I hope everything works out for you and you start to feel better.

It could be if you are sitting too long, or having to cramp yourself in a smaller bed and not be able to stretch. It may be just leg cramps, or muscular pain. Perhaps every so often, when studying, you get up and stretch your legs for a bit and see if that helps?

Otherwise, it could be worth seeing a doctor about it if nothing seems to help, or it gets worse, or you notice it's not linked to sitting down too long.

I'd consider seeing a doctor about that. Doesn't seem like a common issue, especially considering the length of the pain.

The symptoms are vague to be honest. Maybe it is a charlie horse. When I work out, I get those. It happens so infrequently it would be hard to pin it down.
