Re: GIRLS LATE BLOOMER - February 16th 2017, 07:07 PM

I stopped growing at 16-17. I am 5'8 as well. I think that girls stop getting talk at 18. But boons and stuff can still grow. It's normal to grow a lot in 4 years it healthy. I wouldn't worry to much about it. Your height depends on your family genes too. If your parents are tall you probably got it from them. So say your mom is 6'0 and your dad is 6'4 You might grow a little more but not too much more I think. I hope this helped a little to calm you down.

If you ever need to talk, vent or need advice, my PM/VM is always open.

I agree with Frankie. Usually growth will start slowing down as you leave your teens and enter your twenties. Though it also depends on your genes. As for me, I honestly can't remember when I stopped growing because I'm short (5'1") but probably around mid-teens.

As the others have mentioned, I don't remember when I stopped growing. I think maybe when I was 16 or 17. I'm also fairly tall. 5'9"

I was 5'7 around my 18th birthday and then shot up 2 inches sometime before my 20th birthday. I don't know exactly but I guess I stopped growing between 18-19. I know people who have grown taller after 18 but it is usually one or two inches. So, don't worry about it, okay?

And I agree with Brittany. It is good to be tall.

I'm 6'1 and I'm still growing, only because I have a medical condition where my bones aren't my age, instead my bone age is 13-14 years and I'm almost 22.

breathe. it's just a bad day, not a bad life.

I'm not sure of my exact age but it's been a few years. My doctor told me that normally you stop growing a year or two after your period and that's pretty true for me unfortunately as I'm 5'2".

But as you exit your teens you should probably stop growing.

Re: GIRLS LATE BLOOMER - February 19th 2017, 03:58 PM

I am not sure the age I stopped growing but when I was 14 years old graduating 8th grade I was 5 feet and considered tall-ish. When I was in 12th grade I was about 5 foot 1 or 2 when I was measuring my height for graduation. I was on the shorter end. But in 4 years I grew 2 inches.
I got my period a month before I turned 12 so I suppose what Dez's doctor had said is true for the most part

I'm pretty sure I stopped growing around age 16 and hit 5'5". However, I just went to the doctor and they said I'm 5'6" so now I don't know what to believe.
Jokes aside though, you'll probably stop pretty soon. If you do grow more, it will probably be pretty insignificant.

And here you are living, despite it all.

I got my period at 12 (how many view puberty) but continued to grow after age 20. Maybe I'm weird though

My period started when I was 11, and I think I continued to grow until I was around 16. I must have grown some after 16, since my driver's license says I'm 5'7", but now I'm 5'8"! You should stop growing soon, and there's no shame in being tall! It's a fun world up here.
