More troubles with my wrist - May 15th 2017, 10:51 PM

About 6 months ago I was in a car accident where I fractured both my ulna and radius bone near the wrist with my carpal bones jammed up into my hand. I had a cast for about 2 months and physical therapy for 3 months. My wrist had began to seriously bother me again and I also needed to go back to see the orthopedist for a mobility test for the pending lawsuit so I brought it up to him and he's afraid I might have torn a tendon or ligament so he referred me to another specialist (still waiting for an appointment). Since everyone was so focused on the fractures, the damaged tissue went so long unnoticed that I might need surgery if it is in fact torn. Please just wish me luck and I might post an update after I get in to see the specialist. Thank you guys

Good luck, I hope everything goes well and there isn't too much damage when the doctors go in there. I'll be thinking of you.

The doctor I was supposed to see won't accept me because I have an attorney on the matter (the guy who caused the accident had a revoked license and no insurance so of course I have an attorney) so I have to wait even longer to arrange an appointment with a different doctor which means more time living with the pain I can't wait until this is all over!

I hope that you manage to get everything sorted out and that you start to feel better!

I just wanted to mention that if you have an attorney, ask them about doctors appointments and such because they might have some to refer/send you to. My dad got hit by someone who didn't have a licence so he had a lawyer and he was sent to a bunch of top specialists to get his back checked out and for treatment. This lawyer would do this so he would have the evidence and such from these specialists to back up the claims of the injuries and well as making sure they are receiving the best medical care.

Well there's only one place here where I live that specializes in these things and there's a handful of doctors in that facility so there's really no where else's to refer me to unless I want to make the 3 hour drive to Kansas City, which would just end up being a longer process.

Re: More troubles with my wrist - May 25th 2017, 02:06 AM

Here's a quick little update:
We fished around for another doctor who might be able to see me and if I can see this doctor I'm going to have to wait until July
And if I end up not being able to see this doctor I might have to travel to Kansas City anyways. This whole thing is so frustrating I want to cry
