It can be hard to get a good night's sleep, but improper sleep can lead to problems with both your physical and mental health. Because of this, it is important to try and find ways to improve your sleep.

This article by Cindy McCormack on BestSleepHealth discusses ways to improve your sleep, such as being exposed to natural light and avoiding blue light before bed, using your bedroom for its intended purpose, and changing your diet and exercise.

I really needed this article the other week

I think the tips were good and I would also add not to work on assignments or other things late in the evening and instead do something to help relax. I find that if I work on things before bed then when I'm in bed, I can't sleep because I'm still thinking about what I was working on before bed, such as assignments.

I do try to get out of bed if I've realised I haven't managed to get to sleep. It helps just to wander around my room for a little while, then go back to bed and usually I manage to fall asleep after that.
