Hurting - January 14th 2020, 01:37 AM

So I'm hurting pretty badly, all over, but mostly in my shoulder and hip. I don't know what's wrong - if it's my fibromyalgia or arthritis settling in because of a life threatening childhood injury to my hip. I am seeing my doctor next Monday to go over what's going on with me and see what we can do, but I'm just curious as to your thoughts. I'm leaning towards the fibro because it's all over, just more intense in my hip.

Okay, he thinks that it is rheumatoid arthritis. Apparently he said a simple blood test can figure that out and I should have my results tomorrow or Friday. If it is, then that would explain a lot. It's odd, because I thought that that was an elderly person's disease, but he said it can affect anyone of all ages.

I used to think arthritis affected only older adults too, but it actually can affect all ages. Though it does seem like the pain associated with fibro and arthritis can seem similar so it's understandable why you would've thought it was fibro.

Let us know how you get on with the results of the blood test

I hope you're okay and they find out why you're in pain.

It is rheumatoid arthritis. My inflammation markers were through the roof I guess.

I am so sorry you deal with chronic pain. I understand that battle all too well. It does help hugely having a rheumatologist on your case. I have found that has helped me greatly.

Hang in there, you are not alone.

I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling with chronic pain, it is definitely no fun whatsoever. It can take a toll on your mental well-being, as well as the personal and professional aspects of your life. Hopefully with support with the correct medical professional, you are able to find ways to manage your pain.

Thinking of you.
