what are some good tips to lose weight fast - July 18th 2009, 05:27 AM

i want to lose like xxx pounds in 1 month

Chop off one of your legs.

Other than that, it's impossible to do that safely without starving yourself. Weight doesn't suddenly appear, it doesn't suddenly disappear.

A couple tips though:
-do cardio
-drink lots of water(It flushes out the "bad stuff" from your system)
-build muscles(more muscles means you burn more calories)
-Be sure to eat enough

I don't think chopping off your leg is very safe.

I'd speak to a doctor or dietrician and see if it's safe for you to do that, which I don't think it is. And then ask how to lose weight and so forth if you find that your doctor agrees you can/should lose weight.

Haha! I thought of that before I posted but I didn't bother to change it.

I agree that perhaps seeing a dietrician could help. He or she could help you figure out a healthy way to lose weight and keep it off.

Don't believe in those ads saying if you use their product you'll lose XXX lbs. in one week. That's more than you need in one day. Even if you completely starved yourself, you could probably only lose a couple pounds in one day. Don't starve yourself though, it's not a good idea. Once you start eating again you'll be even heavier. If you want to lose weight you need to make sure the amount of calories you consume is less than the amount you burn off. (Sounds simple, huh? I don't know why people think it's so complicated). However, you need to also stay healthy. If you're not healthy, you will burn less calories so it won't help you.

All i can say is drink lots of water and be sure to run, run about 15 mins per day, will help loads

lots of water, cardio, I suggest starting to lift some weights, the more muscle you build the more calories you burn daily. Stay away from binge eating and get on board with fruits and veggies, lots of protien and fiber.

Usually there is no fast and easy way to lose weight. Or not always very healthy. Just eat right and excersize. Easiest way and generally most effective. And if you keep up with that you can also keep the weight off or continue to lose more in the future.

I'm in the process of dieting right now, It sucks. Especially since my fiance eats whatever he wants lol. After all he isn't the one who has had 2 kids and not bothered to lose the weight. ugh. I stopped drinking soda, and tea which was my big thing. I drink water and gatorade occasionally just to give me some flavor. I walk every morning with the kids and jog at night by myself. If i get hungry throughout the day I'll eat some cheese crackers or something just enough to satisfy myself. I clean everyday so i just turn on some music and dance around in the process. There are a lot of fun ways to lose weight. you just have to be open to it.

I think exercise is Key.
Like the others have said cardiovascular exercise is good.

You could talk to a doctor, you could also join a Gym or aerobics class, the trainers are usually qualified and can help you work out a training regime.

A good balanced diet is also key...Five a day, a range of red meats, white meats, and fish. Cutting out extra sugar and salt is also good. Too much dairy can make you put on weight also...so try cutting down on that.

Running! I've lost a lot of weight running and that helps. =) Start out walking/running a mile a day, then running the whole mile, then just keep going farther and farther. I'm working on running 2 miles! =)

7 bottles of water per day.
fruits,vegetables, light meals.
running a mile, works pretty good.
sports is an easy way to have fun and work out.
dancing is an easy way to work all parts of your body and trim down.
