Take an allergy pill and see what happens.

Hey there Ashley,

Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection and it's spread in the air and often people may not experience any symptoms for months after becoming infected. The infection affects the lungs and can also spread to the bones or nervous system. Symptoms include a persistent cough, weight loss and night sweats. Tuberculosis is curable with long-term antibiotics but if it's left untreated then it can be fatal. Have you had your BCG vaccination? They're often given to people in their childhood, but if you haven't had it yet then you may want to get that vaccination. If you've had that vaccination then I doubt that there's much to be worried about in regards to TB.

There are of course many other reasons why you may have a cough, such as having a cold or flu - the people who were talking to you may just be joking around with you or overexaggerating. Coughing is a symptom and not a disease, if you have any other symptoms then you should consider going to see your doctor. Otherwise, you may consider using an expectorant cough mixture (which includes guaifenesin, ipecachuana or ammonium citrate). If you're unsure what cough mixture to purchase, you could feel free to ask the pharmacist.

Take care.

I suggest try taking a cough mixture for like a week or so and if it has no effect then go to a doctor. I don't think it can be something as severe as TB but I could be wrong, you may just have a little infection.
