Question Hey Any Healthy Ways To Lose Weight? - November 3rd 2009, 05:31 AM

I am a bit overweight and I wand to get down to my healthy weight so, I was wondering if you have any tips for me Anything would help so, thanks in advance.

excersize and healthy eating is good...but here's something i'm doing right now (and it's worked before)

no sugar! it sounds crazy, but all you do is not eat cookies, candy, cake, brownies, soda...anything that has fake sugar in it. you can eat grapes and fruit and bread, just completely cut out all sugar (including the Splenda and Equal and such). It'll be VERY HARD the first two weeks, you'll crave sugar a lot, but just don't give in, and then after that you'll be in great shape!

theres no big secret to losing weight unfortunately. just eat sensibly and exercise. easier said than done, i know. try some fun ways of exercise.. maybe join a dance class or go swimming or cycling?.

I would say that cutting back on all the added sugar is a good idea as excess sugar turns to fat which is why a lot of people gain weight from drinking all of those fizzy drinks. You can get your sugar from fruits as mentioned. You don't need to cut out sugar completely; a cookie once in a while will do no harm but try to eat less of these on a daily/weekly basis. You will FEEL healthier for it too.

I think the biggest factor is watching what you eat. It's amazing how much weight you can lose by cutting just a few things out of your diet.

Cut things out little at at time. If you're used to having that soda for dinner, then cut that out first. Then maybe cut out soda in general (when I did this in HS I lost a considerable amount of weight). Then slowly turn to other things.

Another thing to watch is PORTION size. Try not to eat too much because it really is easy to do so.
