I have donated quite a few times, but Im ashamed to say that I havent in a while.
My problem is that my local blood donation days changed and now they clash with work. |

I think that I'll probably give blood in the future. Right now, my immense fear of needles holds me back a bit. However, if I get over that then I'm sure I will donate blood.

I have registered for blood donation. Every time I go though I've been sick / on medication too recently. As soon as I stop getting sick, I'll start giving blood.
My dad was really sick in Great Ormond Street Hospital as a baby, if it weren't for blood donors he wouldn't be here, and neither would I

I was psyched when I turned 17 and was able to give blood. I've given twice at work and once at school. My bf came with me twice, because he's O+, but it makes him sick so I don't let him anymore. He actually bought me a shirt yesterday that says "give blood" on the front. It makes me

they don't just take peoples word for it that they are disease free. all the blood that is donated is tested and most of it irradiated so you don't need to worry about passing something onto other people.. because even if you did have something to pass on it would be found.

I'm old enough and I want to give blood.
I just have to get over a few things. I don't mind needles or shots. It's just whenever I have even a small sample of blood drawn. I get light headed and feel like I will pass out. So once I get over that. I will more than likely do so! Pansexual. Problematically Pierced. Disturbed and Depressed. And a Lost Realist. Got a question? I might just have an answer. Feel free to PM me. ![]() |

I can't give blood because I have an autoimmune disorder and had positive ANA results so not allowed
Though in all honesty I don't think I would donate anyway, and I hate admitting to it because I think it's a horrible thing to say you wouldn't want to save someones life. But I have raynauds and am constantly cold, that means my veins are notoriously hard to find and get blood from. In fact the last three times I've had blood taken my veins have collapsed and one of them even burst (most disgusting thing EVER btw!) ha. Because of those reasons I don't think it would even be possible to get enough blood out of me if it was any use to anyone anyway lol. I am an organ donor though, I signed up before I was diagnosed but was told that as long as my organs are ok I can still be a donor
Have some composure, where is your posture? x |

I HATE needles plus they probably only have the big needles and I have ITP so I bleed longer than other people plus my veins are weak like my mom
Everthing I see seems to be a lie. And everything you see in me you think is the truth. But, really all you see is what I'm masking the real me with. You never see me cry. Because I'll never let you. And you'll never see me die because I feel like I already have in a way.

I've given blood several times! it's kind of a pain, but it makes me feel good once I'm done because I feel like I've actually helped someone. one of the first times I did it, I passed out briefly afterwards, and that kind of scared me, but since then I just have to tell whoever is taking my blood that I need a little bit of extra time afterwards to lay down. it's all good.
