Weight gain from birth control.

I've been considering starting up on birth control, and I'm just wondering if anyone has gained weight from it? Also, which brand do you prefer?

I'm from America!

So American brands, please.

I've not gained weight from it, and you might want to state what country you are in as they are branded differently and with different names

that and everybody works in a different way so what i like might not be what you like etc. pm me any questions tho been on birthcontrol nearly 3 years and been on 4 diff types of pills

I gained [Edited] concurrently with starting birth control, but I started birth control the summer I totally pigged out on food while visiting France, Switzerland, and Italy. I have more or less lost that weight in college.

Hard to say when you gain weight and why, a lot of people do gain weight... but it's hard to say it was birth control and not the fact that teenage girls.. you know... gain weight sometimes.

I gained a lot of weight on it. However it also gave me big mood swings which where worse then other people have reported (as in my doctor doesn't let me take it any more), so it may just be my body didn't react to it well at all.

what form of birth control are you thinking of starting?..

i'm on the injection and no, i didn't gain any weight from it.

Depo made me gain weight as well. Other things have worked, but I find the NuvaRing is very convenient, and works well.

I gained a little bit of weight when I first started taking birth control. However, as long as you are eating healthily and getting exercise, you'll bounce right back.
