Bags under Eyes - January 17th 2010, 01:32 AM

The bags under my eyes are ugly and purple and they are getting huge. I have people asking me if I have black eyes. It's horrible.
I went to the doctor and they basically told me to get more sleep and there is nothing I can do.
I refuse to believe this.
I've used Garnier Eye Puff Roller and it didn't help.
I try to get as much sleep as I can. However, I can't sleep well. I wake up at by 6am no matter what. My body refuses to let me rest.
How do I get rid of this? It is horrible.

I thought that was also caused by not geting enough oxygen or something... Try cold water under your eyes in the morning.

for a quick fix hold ice cubes on the bags under your eyes and it should reduce the puffy-ness. for a more long term solution try reducing your salt intake and make sure you're drinking plenty of water and keeping a healthy diet.

Try tea bags! I forgot about that.

Very cold water. Especially in the morning, when you use cleanser. Moisturizer at night. This won't get rid of them all together, I'm sorry. The way I get rid of them? Makeup.

I think the fact that your body makes you wake up at 6am is really strange sounding. Did you talk to your doctor about that? You should be getting 8 hours of sleep a night, so I guess you need to be in bed by 10, if you must wake up at 6. Really.

This article was helpful.

Causes other than lack of sleep could be:
  • Stress
  • A lot of time on the computer or watching TV
  • Vitamin deficiencies
  • Allergies

So I will find my fears and face them
I will cower like a dog
I will kick and scream
I will kneel and plead
I'll fight like hell to hide that I'm givin' up

I would suggest the ice and the tea bags. Also drink alot of water. That should help.
