Tiredness, hunger, dizziness... - March 2nd 2010, 12:38 AM

For the past week, I've been exhausted. I'll like have little spurts of energy, and then after that I'm just--ugh. I can hardly stay awake or walk in a straight line. I came home today, took an hour and a half nap, ate dinner, and I still feel tired like I haven't slept at all. I've been like this for so many days. Aside from tiredness, I've also been unusually hungry and thirsty. I'll eat like a ton of food and still feel hungry later, and I keep drinking but I'm never really satisfied. I've been dizzy and weak. I've fallen over twice. Does anyone know what might be causing this? My mom says it's probably stress, but that doesn't make any sense since nothing stressful is happening in my life at this moment. I'm not being overworked--on the contrary, I've had an unusually little amount of work lately. My sleeping patterns are relatively normal. Yet I still feel so exhausted. Please write back if you know what may be causing this or anything that might help. It's really starting to bother me.

It could be a number of things, from vitamin deficiencies to something like diabetes or even a viral bug. You should go to your doctors if this continues.

It sounds like you could have mono or some sort of viral disease. The most important thing to do is to see a doctor. Anyone on this board can give advice, but even if you do have similar symptoms, they probably got treated by a doctor too. He will probably take a blood test to make sure that your sugar levels are okay (if it's diabetes) and give you a regular physical examination to make sure everything else is okay.

Please go see a doctor! I hope you get better soon!

I've been feeling VERY similar lately, and so have a lot of my friends.
I was just about to post a thread about it, actually - namely the tiredness.

Honestly, I have no answers - but I know how you're feeling. I've been trying to eat a lot of fruits and leafy green vegetables - so maybe just try that for a bit? It couldn't hurt, even if your diet's not the source of it.
