random stomach pains - April 20th 2010, 10:05 AM

so for the past couple of years, ive been getting random pains. one that feels like my left rib is broken down the bottom, another thats in the same place as period pain and the other is my heart. i dont know what any of them mean. ive had them for years. their never really intense pain. but noticable and dosent last too long. but i know its not normal. i sorta think stress. but i dont know. what do you think is wrong with me? and yes, i will go ask a doctor because i DO know that you's are not doctors.

Actually, I think I get similar pains to you. I get them in my lower side and around my heart as well. I only get them occasionally and they usually go away after a few minutes. I think it might actually be fairly normal for teenagers. I have another friend who had them too. It might just be stress or some sort of strange growing pains? But I do think it is normal. If you're worried, you should ask a doctor though.

It could very well be stress. Aches and pains are a common symptom of anxiety.

Stress can definitely trigger pains like that. Since it has lasted this long, stress is mostly likely the cause.
I would, however, ask your doctor about this.

Hey there,

I think that because this pain has been persisting and you've been suffering with it for a few years, then it would be very worthwhile to talk to your doctor about what you've been experiencing so that they can check you over and perhaps help you get some pain relief.
It is possible that stress or anxiety could be causing your pains or at least contributing to them, however, as this has been going on for such a long time, I'd suggest that you visit your doctor.

Take care.
