Knees - April 25th 2010, 03:21 PM

From over-exercise, I have hurt my knees. They were bleeding, but now they just hurt on the inside. Yesterday I couldn't walk, or I would fall to my knees. Today if I walk slowly, I can walk, but if I walk fast, I fall again because my knees give out. They hurt to be touched.
Does anyone know what I should do? Should I put a heating pad on them? Should I keep swimming? I have a HUGE swim meet this weekend, and I need my knees!

I would recommend taking a hot bath to help relax the muscles and the bones, then just rest until your meet. If its still acting up, talk to your doctor about it.

What do you mean by bleeding? as in like bruising, or bleeding on the outside?

Re: Knees - April 26th 2010, 01:09 PM

They were cut and bleeding from the outside. The cuts are mostly healed now, but when I fall, they hurt a lot. My whole knee and theigh burns when I walk, or even move them. I can barely walk and I cannot see a doctor until after this weekend. I MUST be in this meet, so I need to know how to help myself.
