Is it Pnuemonia...again?! - May 2nd 2010, 06:55 PM

Okay so september of last year i found out i had pnuemonia because i had this really argivating hacking cough for atleast 3 weeks. It was from chemicals then.
Now, i have this really bad cough where im coughing so hard i can hardly breathe & its like im about to throw it & i just have cold stuck between my throat & nose passageway ( dont ask ).
It started out with a really bad sore throat & a headache now my nose runs sometimes & i sneeze with it but the cough it agrivating. My mom just thinks its a cold but ive had this for a week and a half and she wont take me to the hospital. Not even when i told her one morning i had blood in my spit. I was alarmed at one point but it hasnt happened again since. I cant laugh anymore because when i do i cough...any advice?

You really need to see a doctor. Common colds typically don't last this long nor are they this severe in nature. If she isn't alarmed by the fact that you had spit up blood (which can be a very serious symptom of something) there is a big problem here. You may need to get yourself there and then worry about the consequences later, because if this is pneumonia, it can be fatal.

Go to a doctor, they're the only people who really know. My best friend has had it 7 times

Once you have pneumonia once, the likely hood that you will get it again is much more severe then that of a person that has never had it. You should really go to the doctors so they take x-rays.
