I've never heard of anything like this before. I mean I occasionally get a ringing noise in my ear but nothing permanant. Maybe you have some kind of pressure built up in your ear?

My suggestion is to go to the doctor and ask about it. There are doctors that work specifically with ear, nose, and throat problems, so I'm sure they'd be able to find a solution and help you with the noise.

The only thing that comes to mind is tinnitus, which unfortunately is not terribly helpful because tinnitus is merely a symptom. To figure out the cause of the ringing, you have to see a doctor, probably a hearing specialist as there can be numerous causes and types of tinnitus.

FuckingNutz (it is you isn't it?) has it right. It sounds like tinnitus, which could be a symptom of something else, or could simply be a chronic nuisance. You're best going to your doctor about this.

thanks for the advice with what the ringing in the ear is. but the thing is that the ringing in the ear is not really my problem because it doesnt do much to me. the thing about it is that the ringing in my ear helps my hearing. for the star wars peoples its kinda like my force. i just hear the ringing stop when i hear the smallest sound. im just trying to understand this more. but i dont really want to talk to my doc about it because its hard to recreate it on command.

I think you should still talk to a doctor. I used to have constant ringing in my ears, which I thought was just minor. Well I finally saw a doctor and it was a lot more serious than I thought. I don't want to give specifics though, because I'm fine now. Anyways, I think you should see a doctor before it gets worse or something.
