Tiredness - September 5th 2010, 04:42 PM

I think there's something wrong with me I've thought this for years but nobody takes me seriously :/ I get tired so easily. When I was in high school if I went in for a full week I'd feel so tired I'd feel sick, physically sick. I was close to fainting many times.

I'm the same now. I fell asleep at about 12am last night and made myself wake up at 9am to I would get used to getting up early for college. I was just sick because I'm so tired >____<

When I wake up early in the morning I feel like I may faint if I get out of bed. I want to sleep so badly. My family and friends just call me lazy.

I've lost concentration very easily today also. I actually can't remember what I want to write in this thread fully :/ It feels like my thoughts just aren't sticking.

I went to my GP about this before and he thought I may have had anaemia but done a few tests and realised I wasn't.

I also can't drink too much coffee/energy drinks in the day to wake me up as too much caffeine makes me anxious and a bit crazy >____<

Re: Tiredness - September 5th 2010, 07:57 PM

I know exactly how you feel. Like I got maybe 10 hours of sleep and I am still exhuasted.

I have asked my doctors before and one said it was from low vitamin d3, So maybe just get a bunch of blood tests run to be safe? May also be oversleeping? Also, make sure you are eating properly, fruits and veggies. My one doctor said having a lot of dairy products can make your body feel tired and sick.

But you know what is best to do...hint: doctor.

I actually don't eat very healthy so that could be a problem. I'll make an appointment soon I have to go down and see him about my prescription for meds anyway.

I just miss not worrying about sleep much :/

I agree with Briana poor nutrition can be causing you to feel tired. Low blood iron is one of the many things that can cause tiredness I would suggest you to get a blood test done and take it to your doctor it could be from a lot of things. Good luck.

I feel tired all the time, you may be over sleeping, like what others have said. Maybe try setting your alarm for 8 and a half hours after you go to bed and see how you feel after a couple days?

Diet and excercise levels can affect how tired you feel - my dad always tells me to exercise more when I complain I'm tired. You migth also want some blood tests to see if you've any vitamin defficiancies that could cause it. There's also a possibilaty that it's M.E., so I'd recomend going to a doctor and seeing what they think.

I'm the same as you, I'm so tired all the time! But I usually have difficulty sleeping :/ I thought it was anaemia too but it turns out it wasn't. Let us know what it is when you find out

Take care.

I went to my doctors and he give me a few tests and said I seem perfectly healthy :/ He give me sleeping pills though. I guess that will help me sleep earlier. He said I probably just need a lot of sleep and people are just different.

Even though he is a doctor, and I am not, I would not suggest taking sleeping pills

Try more natural approaches towards sleeping earlier

I agree with Alex, I'm supposed to be on sleeping pills but have refused to take them. You may get dependent on them, ask your doctor if there is something else you could do instead of taking the sleeping pills.

He said these aren't as addictive as other sleeping pills. They're called promethazine.
