Unhappy Abdo pain? - September 18th 2010, 09:13 PM

Hey all, Dont know if you can help here, but I am pregnant, (Im not keeping it, dont judge me on this choice) But over the past three days Ive been in excessive pain in the lower right side of my abdomen, Also very sick due to the pain. No one seems to really know what is wrong, and I have been in hospital for this, but havent got an answer, only been told to go back if it gets worse, which it has, and I will when I organise a way to get there. In saying that, I havent had a very good run with doctors, in messing things up, and I dont really see the point if they cant find it. I just get given more pain relief and sent home.

What do you suggest?

Hey there,

I say just keep going to the doctors, because they are more likely to figure out what's wrong than anybody else is. Until you can get there, I would just take something to take the edge off of the pain and go from there. I know it's hard having doctors not knowing what's wrong with you, but every time you go to see one there's another chance of them finding out what's causing you all of this pain. I'm glad you're doing what's best for you and not keeping the baby. And I hope you start feeling better soon!

Take care,
Immy Marie.

I went to the doctors, Ended up going to the hospital, no tests were done, they decided they didn't know what was wrong, I was given tramadol, panadol, codine and cyclizine, then sent away after two nights on morphine and told to head back if it got worse... Some health care we have here in new Zealand ae!

You're pregnant, chances are you're just having a lot of pains because of hormones, etc. At least they are telling you they haven't found anything. When I was pregnant they convinced me I was having an eptopic pregnancy.

Just take it day by day, if you can't take the pain maybe the best idea is to go to the doctors again and see what they can do for you.

I went to a specialist, and apparently It was from the fight I got in (LONG story, Short issue... I ran into a guy I had a restraining order on, he bet me up.) Got hit in the tummy a few times.
