In order for you to have a period, you have to have a certain level of fat in your body. Fat is essential for a number of process, and is also necessary for hormone production. Your body stops allowing you have periods as a kind of safety mechanism to protect you from getting pregnant. Humans are made to reproduce. If your body is in a state that it would not be possible to carry and nurture a fetus, you will stop having periods in order to prevent it.
What you MUST do in order to get your period regular again is improve your diet with proper foods and nutrition and make sure that you are a healthy weight for your height!
Your body is reacting to the eating disorder and protecting itself...take it day by day and improve your eating habits a little bit each day instead of thinking about the overwhelming big picture...set goals that are attainable for you right now...not ones that seem almost impossible to achieve right now...

Hey, if you start eating a healthy diet and all you won't lose your period. And seeing as though you've got your period, I'm going to close this thread. PM me if you have any questions or want this re-opened.
