Gave blood - October 9th 2010, 02:38 PM

So I gave blood yesterday afternoon. I got really sick and came really close to fainting.

Ever since then I havent been hungry at all. Im usually always hungry and have to deal with that all the time but now im not at all.

Does anybody know why this is?

I mean Im enjoying it actually seeing as everything else thats been going on. But I dont think its normal.

You probably almost fainted because you lost blood. I think a lot of people, including myself, feel that way after giving blood...especially if you didn't get enough sleep the night before and shit. As for losing your appetite, I'm not really sure if it's normal or not. I'm trying to find some side effects of giving blood but can't find any good information, strangely enough. If it lasts for a period of time, I'd talk to your doctor about it. But I probably wouldn't worry about it. Have you been thinking about blood lately? You may just be squeamish and it's affecting your appetite.
