There's a lot of things about the pill that you should know. But it would be easier if you just asked questions about it so that we can help you a bit better.

The most important thing is that you take it at the same time everyday, though.

Usually when you pick up medicine from the pharmacy there's a little information sheet in with your medicine. If you read that it could probably answer a lot of your questions, and then any others you have you could ask.

Everything you need to know is on the leaflet you get in the box with it. This leaflet is specific to the brand of the pill you are taking which is better than anything we can tell you as information varies from pill to pill.
The leaflet can be a bit confusing so if you don't understand it then feel free to ask here.

The main thing is it becomes redundant if you vomit, have diarrhoea or take antibiotics. You should use another form of protection for 7 days while taking your pill as normal.
You should also use this 7 day rule if you miss a pill or take it late as your should be taking them around the same time everyday. Some pills have different times for taking it, mine says as long as I take it with 12 hours of the previous pill I am still protected, so check the leaflet for your specific pill.

Hey there,

I've been on two different types of the pill. Usually they come with a pretty long book of say...guides? It'll help you through understanding your cycle and the protection that the medication will give you. Are you going on this medication for contraception or to regulate your period, may I ask?

Try googling. (: And the main thing I noticed with my pill is that it makes me more emotional than I used to be.

Hey there!

Well, I've found you some pretty good information about the medication you're going to be taking! The best thing to say is to remember to take it every day, and the 28 day packs are usually the easiest when it comes to remembering. Click!

I hope this helps.
Marie.
