Just Curious.... - October 19th 2010, 01:09 AM

I am sure there is a thread somewhere on this but I can't find it.

I have always had atleast a little headache when I have my period. Lately..say about last 7 months...the headaches have been getting worse and so too the cramps . I also have a pain in the hips too.

Just wondering if anyone else experiences this?

I always get headaches in the week to week and a half before my period and most of the time they get pretty intense if I don't take something for them when they first come on. My cramps get intense too. I often can't move unless I take midol or something to take the edge off of them.

I do!!! I get migraines. What helps is alieve and heat! Try a warm bath or a blanket and pain killers. It'll be better. Feel better soon!

i know i do. they can knock me out for a couple days if i dont stay medicated. i find that hot showers really help with the cramps as well as heating pads if there the right temp and what not. if there too hot they tend to make it worse

I get them sometimes, too. You should consult your doctor about getting something for the pain and cramps if it's getting worse.

I experience that too. You are 14, so as your body changes, so will your PMS.
It s quite normal. It will change all the time. Some woman experience bad headaches and cramps, where as other woman don't experience anything at all.

I have experienced this, and it is perfectly normal. Periods definitely suck haha

No worries. It's completely normal. I used to get migraines and cramps pretty bad but since I've been on the Pill it's helped a bunch.
If you're looking for something that will help with your PMS, then I suggest that you speak to your doctor about it.
Take care x

Re: Just Curious.... - October 24th 2010, 01:02 AM

I used to get severe cramps and I used to also have such a heavy period I would get dizzy. I don't get headaches but I do get cramps, talk to your doctor, birth control may help. I take birth control to have a regular cycle because I have hormone issues. I actually stopped getting my period. But like others have said you should deffinetly talk to your doctor. I hope these cramps and headaches get better!

I was born with a genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis, it causes tumors to grow in my body on nerves,my spine, and under my skin. I have a tumor in the thalamus region of my brain. I also have heartburn, hypothyroidism and secondary adrenal insufficiency these are under control with medication.
I also have hip dysplasia and scoliosis.
