First of all, welcome to TH

When I was younger I was always scared of going to the dentists too. But I guess I've just accepted the fact that it's a necessity.

Just think, would you prefer to have nice teeth and have them checked out by a dentist, or have horrible rotten teeth? In the end, it's always a good choice to go to the dentist, no matter how scary it may seem!

I would just try to relax.. they're not going to do anything to hurt or harm you in any way don't worry!

Relax!! Most people seem to be scared of dentists from being a kid with the "be brave and sit in the nice chair" ... there's nothing to be brave about!
Of course it's a bit weird having someone look at your teeth, but if you feel uncomfortable just say, they'll do what they can to make you comfortable. Think of him/her as helping you have gorgeous teeth, just like a hairdresser looks after your hair :P

Hey there,

I was always afraid of the dentist. But the best thing to do is to just try to keep yourself calm and you should be fine. Take each step one at a time and things will go okay.

Take care.

I'm afraid of the dentist as well and always get so nervous before I go in but it always turns out that there is absolutely nothing to be nervous over. Just relax, keep calm and remind yourself you've got nothing to be nervous or scared over.

Just relax, nothing is going to happen.
I used to get so nervous but now its so normal.

Like its been said, all you can really do is relax, sometimes if your tense, it makes things harder, because your mouth is tense. Good luck.

*Shudder* Ergh I hate going to the dentist. Just use calming techniques before hand like deep breathing.

I'm glad the dentist went well. I can understand how scary the dentist can be.
