Urine Colour - December 2nd 2010, 12:27 PM

Okay... So this is kind of embarrassing, but this morning I took a piss and my urine was like bright, vivid yellow-ish green. I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be that colour. What could be causing it? Like, is there a chance I might have an infection? I've also been having cramps and pain down there, but I should be starting my period soon, so I'm assuming that's the cause. I also just started taking vitamins B, C, and D for immunity and energy, if that could possibly contribute. Any ideas?

As I'm sure you are aware, we aren't doctors. There's no way for any of us to diagnose what you could have. So I would definitely advise that you see a doctor and have your urine tested.

If there is a drastic change in your urine colour, it's a good idea to get it checked out. It could be a sig. Of infection or something else. So it's worth seeing a doctor.

Take care.

Well, there's no way to be sure unless you visit your doctor, but it sounds like you may be dehydrated. Generally your urine is darker when you are less hydraued because the solids in it are less diluted. Try drinking more and see if that helps. And if you're still worried, talk to your doctor.

Hey there!

Obviously we're not medical professionals and we cannot give a diagnosis. If you're concerned you should see a doctor as soon as you can! However, it does seem that it could be dehydration. How much are you eating and drinking in an average day?

I hope this helps.

As the others have said, we aren't doctors and can't diagnose anything....but from my previous experience, vitamins and other meds can change the color of your urine. since you said you just started taking them and your urine just changed, they're more than likely connected. but it would be best to see your doc and make sure anyway.
