Spots (pimples) - December 7th 2010, 04:15 PM

Spots! arrggg!

all of a sudden my face is just covered in them! I haven't had spots this bad since I was 12
They look HORRIBLE.
I've tried spot creams and face washes like clearasil and oxy.. but all they do is give me more spots I've tried cleansing and toning.. but it made my skin feel horrible. I hate wearing foundation because it always ends up with me covered in more spots. I have actually gven up.
Tips on how to get rid of them would be amazing <3

Drink water.....lots and lots of water. using lots of products may just irritate your skin and make it worse, especially if it's sensitive. Try and cut down to only using one facial wash once a day. Moisturising with a very gentle moisturiser at night can help. Try avoid touching your face or fringe as your hands can carry bascteria. And a dab of toothpaste at night on each spot can help dry them out and make them disappear faster. If it's really really bad though, I would go see a doctor!!

Totally agree with the above. Hydrate yourself by drinking loads of water, and try to watch what you eat. The more junk you eat, the worse your skin will get.

Take care.

Hey, Charli. My skin's awful as well, but I found that using a cream at night that contains benzoyl peroxide helped my skin a lot. Be careful if you have dry skin though, as that can just make it worse. It worked for me because I have very oily skin, however. <3 It's worth a go!

I would change my pillow case during a break out more often.

One thing about me is that my acne is usually related to my period. When I have a period, I'll usually break out or if I am sick. Are you expecting your period soon?

Thanks for the replies
I put a bit of toothpaste on last night and it's definitely reduced the redness!
I just came off of my period Annie .. so maybe thats why I've all of a sudden got so many :3
I was thinking of trying washing my face with a few drops of Tea Tree oil in the water?

Don't put anything on your face that will give you allergies.
I can no longer wear makeup or nickel jewelry or things that are scented.
