Hip Stretches? - December 12th 2010, 07:59 PM

I sit funny. Never with my legs out infront of me. They're gangley and feel funny and uncomfortable. I always sit on my feet, cross legged or knees up. Well, most of the time anyway.

I also always suffer with hip pain after sitting for too long. When I was younger I used to be able to sit cross legged to put both knees on the floor. The pain from doing that is the same kind of pain I get now.

Sometimes I can stretch my legs out and my hip clicks, and sometimes by touching my toes for a while I can make the pain go, but its never 100%.

Anyone know anything I can do to keep my...hips flexible and such?

I have a similar problem to you!
being double jointed makes it uncomfortable to sit normally, I always curl my knees up in weird positions.
My hips get problems too... feel like an old woman!
Sometimes massaging gently where it's sore can help, or use a heat pack/spray, it can work most times.
