Sleeping Trouble -
February 6th 2011, 05:31 AM
So since last weekend, I haven't been able to sleep.
I'll lay down and be dead tired, but my mind won't stop racing- not in a bad way; I'm usually just thinking of tv shows or books I'm reading or writing. But I'll lay there and can't stop thinking long enough to fall asleep. I can't take naps now, because the same thing will happen- this only started last saturday. But! If I take my Lorazepam, then I can fall asleep (I only take it at night and in the morning) but I've never had this problem before. Used to, I could fall asleep with or without it (like it I missed a night). Is this a side effect? I haven't been feeling stressed lately and my mind isn't thinking stressed thoughts. I'm just...thinking! Is this a side effect of the medication? If so, then why is it only just starting after 4 years of taking it? ![]() ![]() |

Insonmia?
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001808 I hoped this help. I'm here if you need to talk. I know what its like to want to die; how it hurts to smile; how you try to fit in but you can't; how you hurt yourself on the outside; to try to kill the thing that's in the inside.

You might just be having trouble sleeping! Sometimes people get like that due to chemicals and whatnot behaving in a different manner in your body. I wouldn't worry about it unless it persists for a really long period. Go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday to regulate your sleep cycle and note any changes.
"Once a little boy sent me a charming card with a little drawing on it. I loved it. I sent him a card and I drew a picture of a Wild Thing on it. I wrote, “Dear Jim: I loved your card.” Then I got a letter back from his mother and she said, “Jim loved your card so much he ate it.” That to me was one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. He didn’t care that it was an original Maurice Sendak drawing or anything. He saw it, he loved it, he ate it." |
