I'm losing weight! But... questions. -
April 28th 2011, 01:17 AM
So I'm finally taking control of my life, and my coworker at my new job had lost [EDIT] from doing Weight Watchers.
I was really apprehensive, because I had all these assumptions about the program, but when she explained it in more detail I was all for it. I'm on my second week, the first week I lost a couple lbs and I'm not sure how much this week I'll lose (I weigh in on Saturdays) but I've been noticing stuff about my skin. I am quite a bit overweight, and I do have more than a bit to lose, but I noticed myself being more... loose. Like it feels more broken up? I can jiggle my excess weight quite a bit more than I ever had been before (That sounds so gross, I'm sorry) Is that normal? I'm worried because the last thing I want to get is loose skin... |

You should remove the weight figures from your post due to the forum's rules.
From what I know, this is not uncommon with people who lose a lot of weight quickly. There are apparently ways to avoid this issue or solve this problem. After a quick search, I found this: http://www.ehow.com/how_2135049_loos...ight-loss.html And this: http://www.burnthefat.com/loose_skin.html Sorry I couldn't be of more use. I hope the links I've provided you helps some. |

If you lose a lot of weight, fast, or what may even seem to be slow, but is still fast for your body, you will have lose skin.
think about how long it took you to get overweight, if you lose the weight any faster than that, you will have lose skin.. anywho, to reduce the loose skin, you can do toning exeriszes. you need to exersize, resistance and arobic, while doing the weight watchers program. diet alone wont get all the weight off. Trust me. The resistance exersizes (like weights, pushups, lunches, sit ups, things like that.. things that build muscle) will produce more muscle for the skin to adhere to and you'll be better off skin wise. something ive found that helps alot is cardio palates. its arobics and resistance all in one. check it out! hope thiis helps. I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be offending with my numbers. And don't worry, I'm following the program to a T. I really like swimming so I often swim laps at a local gym. I may not be able to do them as well as the guy in the next lane, but I do my best anyhow
