Losing Muscle? - May 13th 2011, 02:16 AM

Well, I've been sick for quite a while now. It's been a month since I've been able to even last for like an hour without feeling whoozy because I'm so fatigued.

I'm wondering if I've lost muscle in the process? My legs don't see to have as much muscle, which is really saddening for me since they were one of the few parts of my body that I REALLY liked. I know I can get it back but I don't even know when I'll be better, and if you've read any of my other posts you'll probably find that I'm quite impatient

But yea, do you think I would have lost muscle in that timeframe? It's been a month almost completely sedentary, save the walk to and fro school when I even managed to stumble my way there, and also the few walks and whatnot with my friends. I've also been eating significantly less since I've just simply felt a lot less hungry (assumedly due to the sickness). Would I have lost muscle from these factors? What can I do to maintain muscle (will eating enough protein be enough to maintain it, or do I require exercise too?).

This is probably kind of funny sounding coming from a girl, but I guess I've always been kind of a butch type

A month of inactivity is more than enough to result in muscle loss. Eat plenty of protein and find a good resistance training program.
