Exercise for the Time Study Girl - March 17th 2009, 03:37 AM

I'm a Time Study girl, and a Time Study girl can't waste time...for a Time Study girl to waste time is a crime.

[/musical reference]

Alright, here's my current schedule.

6:15am: Wake up
6:20am--6:45am: Get dressed, brush hair, pack bags, etc.
6:50am: Leave for school
7:30am: Arrive at school
8:00am--3:00pm: Class time
3:30pm--4:45pm: Homework/nap
5:00pm--10:15pm: Rehearsal
10:45pm--11:00pm: Arrive home, shower
11:00pm--12:00am: Have a snack, take medicine, brush teeth, "wind down", etc.

I need to exercise. I'm disgusted with myself and my current weight, and no amount of meal-skipping has helped me to lose weight. I've been eating roughly one and a half meals a day on and off for months, and I weigh exactly the same. I know it's not healthy, but when you have as little time as I do, you get desperate.

So, how can I work any exercise into a schedule like this? =/

Wake up extra early. If you don't have time to hit the gym, consider getting a home gym set up. Purchase weights, a treadmill, the works... that way you don't have to spend a while out and can perhaps even do your homework on the treadmill or something. I know it's a stretch, but if you want to fit it in, you must work for it!

6:05am: Wake up

6:10am--6:20am: Excercise (Go on a walk, treadmill, dance, whatever)
6:25am--6:45: Get dressed, brush hair, pack bags, etc.
6:50am: Leave for school
7:30am: Arrive at school
8:00am--3:00pm: Class time
3:30pm--4:45pm: Homework/nap
5:00pm--10:15pm: Rehearsal
10:45pm--11:00pm: Arrive home, shower
11:00pm--12:00am: Have a snack, take medicine, brush teeth, "wind down", etc.

There's for an extra ten minutes excercise, if you take a shower in the morning...

6:00am: Wake up
6:05am--6:15am: Shower
6:20am--6:45: Get dressed and so forth
6:50: Leave for school
7:30am: Arrive at school
8:00am--3:00pm: Class time
3:30pm--4:45pm: Homework/nap
5:00pm--10:15pm: Rehearsal
10:45pm--11:00pm: Arrive home, spend extra time excercising, light walk, stretch, ect.
11:00pm--12:00am: Have a snack, take medicine, brush teeth, "wind down", etc.

Also look into what you're eating. Check out the sticky at the top of this forum for ideas on what/how to eat. Cutting down on meals will not be your best option.

Good luck! Hope I was helpful.

Thank you both for your replies! =]

Will ten minutes of exercise each day really help me, though? This is probably unrealistic, but I was hoping for some sort of noticable change before Prom (which is a little more than a month away). Perhaps if I walk laps around the school in the mornings, as well?

You could try that. You'd be surprised how much ten minutes a day makes a difference. Also drink tons of water. Like, always carry a waterbottle with you, and drink whenever you're thirsty. While at first you'll gain a lot of water weight, it helps overall. And the water weight will drop before prom.

Just try to just get up and move every time you get the chance. If you have time between classes, just walk up and down the hall ways. Whatever you can find.

Like Maria said, you'd be surprised how much any amount of time exercising will help you. I'm not sure if "noticeable" by prom is realistic, with any workout, especially with your schedule, but if you begin to exercise, you'll likely begin to feel better about yourself in general.

Ten minutes is ten minutes more than you had before.

You need to find the time yourself.

I'll lay-out my schedule to show you how I do it:

6AM-8AM - Getting ready for school and checking e-mails! (Shower, breakfast e.t.c)
8AM-830AM - Drive to school
830AM-310PM - School!
310PM-4PM - Drive home (Usually stop for grocerys)
4PM-5PM - Computer, TV or XBOX e.t.c
5PM-545PM - Exercise (After 45 minutes GH and Test drop, making the rest useless)
545PM-630PM - More computer, TV or XBOX e.t.c
6:30PM-715PM - More exercise
715PM-8PM - computer, TV or XBOX e.t.c
8PM-9PM - anything really
9PM-10PM - Computer
10PM-6AM - sleep or TV

and that's not including all six meals I have, the supplements, and preparing it all. I work second to second at my life-style. And now I gotta put in room for dance, acting and modeling classes

See if you can use the weight room during your gym period. Do some push-ups and sit-ups when you wake up.

You may want to take the rehearsal out of your day it's taking up a huge chunk of your time, and you're getting little sleep as it is.
