Newfound Pain! :( -

Okay so lately Ive been feeling pain all through out my body and mainly in my stomach. Like right now its in my foot. Recently I started exercising and participating in gym, though I normally don't. yesterday was when the pain began. I just thought it was because of gym and that my body wasn't used to it all. But now Im not sure.
Yesterday after dancing, I found myself hunched over holding my stomach in pain. And before I went to bed, I could feel like my insides were suddenly on fire. When I woke up this morning there was pain in my left shoulder and my arm. Today I have gym and we had to do a sit up text. Do as many as you can in 1 minutes. When it was my turn, after the first sit up I felt pain. After a minute of pushing myself, I couldnt move or sit up for a while. The pain was in my stomache and I could do nothing but lay there until it passed. Then we did push ups and running. My arms and legs felt sore afterward and my breathing was a bit off. So is it just my body adjusting to the physical torture or is there somethin going on. My friend says is the pain persists, to see a doctor. But doctors are scary.

I would say it is likely the pain is due to muscle strain since you are not used to exercising. It's similar to how cramps feel, but more uncontrollable and nothing major helps. I suggest getting a muscle rub, like bengay. Try that out. Also, be sure to stretch beforehand and do a slow cool down before you just STOP. Your body has trouble adjusting to working out for awhile then stopping and it is better on your heart too. So just walk in place for awhile and slow down the pace (at least 5 minutes, though I would recommend 10).
Also, be sure to drink A LOT of water. Water really helps when your body is not used to exercise. If it does persist or gets too unbearable, I would ask your Gym teacher or go to the school nurse. Doctor's shouldn't be scary. They are just people doing their job and trying to help you. If you have any questions, feel free to post and ask ![]() Hope you feel better!
