Oh yuck. Help? -
October 1st 2011, 09:04 PM
Please don't tell me off?? Pleaase?
So. I have scars on my arm and about a week ago I woke up to find what looked like a bug bite at the very edge of one, but it hurt more than one usually would. I left it alone but eventually morbid curiosity got the better of me, cause it had got bigger and was sore. I squeezed it [I know...bad girl. Should've left it alone :< ] and like...solid gunk came out in two long strands [EWEWEWWWWWW] and then ever since it's been giving a mixture of like...hard white gunk and pus, especially after a hot shower or bath. It's still there...just not as huge as it was but it's still kinda sore. I've stopped touching it, honest. I've been using antiseptic cream and warm water to keep it clean but it seems relentless...any help? I know, I'm gross. I couldn't help it

I've heard similar stories and it turned out to be spider bites. I'd suggest just keeping it clean and antibiotic ointments on it. If it gets severely red or if you start having fevers, then you should see a doctor ASAP. Otherwise it was likely a spider bite. Not all spider bites do this, but it depends on your body's reaction, as well as what type of spider it was.
You should be fairly safe as long as you keep it clean and it doesn't spread or other symptoms appear. I think you are fine though. If it's red and irritated put some ice on it for about 15 minutes, then put antibiotic cream and a bandaid. Change the bandaid daily. It should heal within a couple weeks.
So you have gray hair and you're only 26
that's just another reason I love you... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
