Back pain is pretty broad. Is yours caused by anything in particular? Or have you just started having back pain recently?

I get it when I've been lifting things or bending down a lot. I also get it when I slouch too much Bad habit.
Some helpful things you can try - taking a hot bath and soaking for about 30 minutes using Epsom salt or bath salts.

Sit straight in your chair. Get up routinely for a walk so you are not constantly sitting down all day, which can effect your back, legs, arms, etc.

And of course, ibuprofen, aleve, motrin, etc. taken occasionally. If back pain persists for more than a week then you should see a doctor as it may be something more serious than common back pain.

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...

I agree with Kelly on this one. I would try Ibuprophen--it might even help to talk to the doctor about getting a higher dose of ibuoprophen. I know in my case with pain or my old pain problems in general a typical dose of iburophen doens't work. I'd see if they can give you a 600 or even a 800. Maybe even a heating pad if you have one, they sometimes work as well.

I have back pain in my lower back most of the time and it progresses up to my shoulders if I don't take pain killers. I have no diagnosis and I think the main reason is because lack of correct posture over the years.

I'm not sure Ibuprofen would be the best painkiller unless it's caused by swelling. Tylenol or Aleve might be a better choice. I have really bad back pain most of the time, heat it wonderful.

"'Colie, you should never be surprised when people treat you with respect. You should expect it.'
I shook my head. 'You don't know--' I began. But, as usual, she didn't let me finish.
'Yes,' she said simply, 'I do know. I've watched you, Colie. You walk around like a dog waiting to be kicked. And when someone does, you pout and cry like you didn't deserve it.'
'No one deserves to be kicked,' I said.
'I disagree,' she said flatly. 'You do if you don't think you're worth any better...'"

Yus, heat. I love hottubs for when I've had a long day and need to take pressure off my back, taking a nice hot bath can help too if it's a temporary thing. But do see a doctor if this is persistent.

I do from time to time, mostly knee pain though. My knees crack all the time aswell as my wrists.

I get back pain. But that's because I've fractured l4 and l5 and have a herniated disc between those two.
I get numbness in my legs/lower back too.

You might want to try a back brace, which you can buy from drugstores since you probably work which is causing your back to hurt from so much standing. Don't rely on this, but use it on occasion. Also, make sure you have good shoes with nice cushions in them or look into shoe inserts.

As for everyone else, yes. Heat heat heat! And I mention Ibuprofen because most pain is caused by irritation from swelling, but not always. Hence, doctor.

Definitely try Tylenol or something like that first. If it doesn't help, then go to Ibuprofen. Also, don't take any meds for an extended period of time. If heat pads and hot baths don't work, then see your doctor for suggestions.
