Insomnia? -
December 21st 2011, 08:50 AM
Ok, well... I can never sleep all through the night. Sometimes, I go to bed at 9:00, a reasonable time. Or a little bit later. But, I wake up after a few hours. Then, stay up for a while, fall asleep, and then sleep until like 12:00 or 1:00 in the afternoon. Sometimes, I don't sleep at all during the night until like 4 something in the morning and sleep all day. Could this be insomnia? Should I convince my mom to take me to see a doctor? Or what?

I don't know about insomnia but that is what my sleeping pattern is like during vacations. One reason can be lack of movement. I sit at home all day in vacations, maybe going out for a 45 minute walk in the evening. Sometimes not even that. Result is that I am not tired/sleepy at all. I end up staying up late, waking up in the middle of the night a lot and sleeping till 1pm! So I try to do some physical exercise. It has helped me get better sleep during vacations. I hope that helps

Yes, this could be insomnia if it occurs for several weeks. Lack of movement could be one thing, as the above user said. It could also be you ate too soon before bed. Or you have had too much caffeine in the evening. Or even having the tv or computer on soon before bed. Those will all mess with your sleep.
Going to the doctor can't hurt. So I do suggest going. They can prescribe meds to help you stay asleep, or they can give you some ideas to stay asleep. So you have gray hair and you're only 26
that's just another reason I love you... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
