My Skin - March 27th 2009, 01:21 AM

Im tired of having skin issues.
I have achme on my cheeks abit and in the corner of my jaws like near the ear or whatever.

Ive tried several differnt things, i still am using stuff.
(Proactive moisturizer, black head remover AND a clean and clear daily wash)

Skin problems run in the family but i have them the LEAST of my whole family. my brother got it bad.

What works the best?

Is there something i sould do to make it work better?

Does my long hair effect it? (I Keep it clean)

All help needed asap!

Growing up is fun; So get out there and Experience new things.

All sorts of things can cause acne so your diet, stress level, and genes might add to it; that, and being a teenager. I'd talk to a dermatologist and see what they recommend. I've used Proactiv but didn't think it worked too great. What I found that works really well is Velocity, which is a cleanser and moisturizer, from MaryKay. I use it twice a day and it cleared my skin right up in a matter of a week.

Your hair can effect your skin because the oils from your hair clog your pores (even clean hair has oils). It would do wonders for your skin if you keep it out of your face. I found that murad skin products work really well for me. If nothing seems to work I would recommend seeing a dermatologist because they can get you prescription strength treatment. Good luck with finding a skin solution.

Hey there.
Acne = not fun. I feel your pain.
It is true that hair can affect acne, as oils from your hair can make your face oily and dirty, which causes bacteria to give you those annoying pimples. Try to keep your hair out of your face as often as you can. Also, try not to put your hands near your face a lot, as that can dirty up your face and cause acne also. Other than that, your best best is probably to set up an appointment with a dermatologist, because they know the cleansing products / acne solutions that don't just claim to work wonders, but that actually do clear acne. Best of luck. x
