Cigarette Smokers..? {Kinda gross question}

Okay well I'm just putting this on here cause I'm curious.. and I didn't know where to put it so I put it in substance use..lol maybe it should go somewhere else.. but anyways.
I've been smoking for 3 years, I got sick (like a cold) a few months ago and started hacking up phlegm, but ever since then I am still spitting out nasties I know are from my lungs. They used to be black, sometimes still are but its from the rez (I smoke weed). Usually its just brown. I still smoke, I know I should quit yatta yatta.
But I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this?
Like if I quit and started spitting brown and stuff it would make sense.. my lungs are cleaning themselves out..but I didn't quit and yet they are still cleaning themselves out?? Or ..?
I'm planning on quitting soon..but to be honest you can't really quit till you actually want to quit. Heh.
Anyways, if anyone could give me some insight or something that'd be great!

O.O I'd see a doctor about that, your lungs are probably cleaning themselves out, but I've never heard about that (Black could=tar from the ciggs), but the weed plus the cigarettes are like a double wammy on your lungs, and can lead to different health problems. I'm sorry for going all text-book on you, but this is serious.

(Again, sorry, I know I'm not that helpful, but... Yea.)

I'm due to see the doctor anyhow, so I guess I'll bring it up..I did before like months ago when I went but they just wrote it down and didn't say anything about it.. o.e
And yeah, especially seeing as I smoke tobacco and weed together, and without the filter tobacco is even worse for you aha not healthy..

Just because you stil smoke doesn't mean that your lungs won't try to clean themselves, same thing has been happening to me for the last few months, it's like on and off.

I hatee it.. I went to Jamaica for Christmas and it went away for the whole week, then when I came back into the cold nasty weather here it came back
I just don't want it to be a permanent thing.. aha

I'm a smoker and have been smoking (cigarettes) since I was 17. When I get sick, I never have black/brown phlegm, so I would highly suggest bringing this up with your doc at your next appointment.

You should go and get yourself checked out. When I have a cold I don't get this, and I also smoke both and have been for years. :l
