Hallucinating bugs? - March 3rd 2012, 04:30 AM

This is really bothering me and I don't know what it is..

I'm laying in the floor or just sitting in one spot and I'll see something run by beside me. Like a bug or something. So I jump and look and there's nothing there. So I'm guessing I'm hallucinating this. Basically this has been happening for like 1 straight week already. This is freaking me out, I hate bugs.

This used to happen to me whenever I was freaking out about something, or when I finished watching a bug documentary/movie. It stopped happening for me, but if you're really getting freaked out, tell your parents or go to a doctor. This could be easily treatable. Good luck!

I'm going to move this to Anxiety forum.

Since you know you are stressing about something, this could be why you are seeing bugs. Bugs seem to be something you dislike quite a bit, so it makes sense you would see them when under severe stress.

Hahaa NO!!! Im not stressing out about bugs. I'm stressing out about my ED. I could care less to stress out about bugs. That'd be a waste of my time.

I didn't say you were stressing out about bugs. But since you don't like bugs so much, and you are stressing about SOMETHING, then you could be seeing 'bugs'.

Like, when I'm absolutely exhausted, I start seeing spiders and feeling them on me. But I'm not stressed about them. I'm not thinking about them. I'm just tired. But spiders are one of my biggest fears.

Either way, it seems you know you are stressing over something. So maybe post in the ED section if you haven't already. As for the bugs, it's probably just from being stressed. And since it's about an ED, then you may not be getting enough food, or even sleep. Which can cause hallucinations as well.
